Marshall's Blessing
Thought I would experiment a little and try and copy some of the great pictures I have seen others take. Some of them actually turned out okay.

Wee Witches
After much deliberation between a home made Strawberry Shortcake costume and an easy, store bought Barbie Mariposa, Sydney finally decided Barbie was the winner (maybe with a little persuasion). Connor never even had to think about it once he saw the claws on that Dino costume.
Can't be October without a corn maze
This is Connors first trip to witches.
Like I said, Connor is proud of his claws.

Fall was too short!
Yes, we got snow, but luckily it was only in the mountains. I have decided, that snow is great in the mountains, can't it stay there? It can snow down in the valleys a week before, during, and after Christmas, then, I am done. Can it work out that way this year, please?

Good to have Family
We have also been doing a lot of family things lately because my cousin Nik made it back safely from Iraq and we wanted to spend all the time with them as we could before he went back to his station.

M.I.A
Sorry, we have been very busy lately! I will have a few catch up posts after this, but we have big news. NO, I am not pregnant. We are buying a house!! As many of you know, we didn't think we would be able to qualify because of the new rules on commission-based jobs, but John has been working at a salary based job in Park City as well, and we were able to qualify on that! It has been a roller-coaster ride though let me tell you. Note to all of you getting ready to graduate and looking at get a house: your student loans need to be differed 12 months, not 11 1/2. Really. Well, to make a long story short, we were told we qualified, not officially, we found the perfect house, told we didn't actually qualify because of our student loans, figured out we were able to qualify on some of what John makes at the job he has been working at for over a year, were finally officially qualified, and hopefully we will sign our lives away this week. We kind of had to rush it too because we really wanted to qualify for the tax credit they are giving this year. Anyway, we found the perfect home, not to far from where we are now, that has a finished yard ('cause you all know how I love yard work) complete with sprinkling system, fence, window well covers, and a great swing set. Sydney will be able to stay at her school (no bus though) and I can paint the walls any color I want! We probably won't be able to move in for a few weeks, but I will send pics as soon as I have them. Here is one from the realty website:
