Visitors

My uncle Todd came into town in September and it sure was good to see him.  Hopefully we can come and visit him in New York sometime soon!

Oh, ya, I have a 4 year old!

Connor's birthday was almost 2 months ago, but there is nothing wrong with playing catch up right?  Connor started preschool this year and absolutely loves it!  He has afternoon preschool, so on the days he has school, he waits by the door and whines all morning because he wants to go to school "NOW!"  And on the days he doesn't have school, he asks me all day long if he can just go anyway.  Poor guy still has 2 years before he can go to the "big school," which, yes, he asks quite often if he can just go there.  Hopefully this love for school will last.  He is very goofy and loves to play.  He is making friends in the neighborhood which is fun because he can actually play things he wants, like "karate," instead of listening to two girls (Sydney and my sister Marie) boss him around as he plays "house."  He has also become quite the rough and tumbly boy.  At least 3 times a week Sydney come in to me crying because Connor has punched her in the chest or kicked her or just shoved her across the room.  He also has started punching and kicking the air or walls or garbage cans or... everytime I ask him to do something he doesn't want to do, which right now is about everything I ask him to do!  Is this normal?  What am I to do with this boy?  I feel like I am pretty consistent and I have been working on the "We don't do that in our house, you may need to take a break" voice instead of the "GET IN YOUR ROOM BEFORE I BEAT YOU!" voice.  Some days are better than others. (p.s. before you call the police, I don't really beat my kids, it just crosses my mind occasionally :)
Anyway, here are a few pictures of his birthday.  I think he enjoyed himself!

Really?!

The first time shocks me every year.  I am never ready for it!
