OH. SO. FUN!

So You Think You Can Dance!
Need I say more?
Me, Jenny, Linsey
My friend Jen and her 2 sister-in-laws came too
Throughout the show, Janine and Philip kept coming out in their Russian outfits and they would tell them to leave because "no one wanted to see that again." It was funny. But then close the end, they did part of it and then everyone came out and they did a different, really cool Russian dance. It was amazing.

Halloween Weekend

It was fun to be in our own home this year for Halloween. I thought I would celebrate by making fun Halloween meals.

For lunch on Friday we had monster sandwiches and owl salad.
For dinner on Friday, we had Silly Face Soup
For Lunch on Saturday, we had Snake
and for Dinner we had Spider Soup
I think the kids liked it, but I had a ton of fun doing it, thanks to Pillsbury!

On Friday we carved pumpkins with my family and had the kids dress up. Matt and Jodi were the only cool parents who dressed up too.
Connor wasn't so sure at first about all the guts inside. The girls wouldn't even touch it.

Sydney wanted a Fairy pumpkinand Connor wanted a Dinosaur
Matt's was probably our favorite of the night with the picture cast behind the jailer.

And then of course, you can't forget the trick-or-treating! It actually wasn't very good in this new neighborhood, but on Sunday we found out why. They were having a ward trunk-or-treat, so all the kids and all the candy passer-outers (it's a word now) were at the church. Oh well, the kids really don't need that much candy anyway. We, on the other hand, were left with a lot of left overs!
We might be in trouble with this pretty girl.
My sister Marie came with us
Connor wanted to try on Dad's wig.

Las Vegas Baby!

Here is a recommendation: Don't try to move in between two trips!

After Moab, we painted a few rooms in the house and stained the fireplace, while also trying to move in a few things. (Thanks for all the help mom, sorry you threw your back out!) But after the week was over, John and I got to go on a much needed trip. Did I mention without kids? Ya, it was much needed.

Lots of great food in Vegas!
Gotta see M&M World
and the Coca Cola store (obviously John's favorite)

But the reason we really went was for the U2 Concert.
ANOTHER FIRST FOR JOHN: A CONCERT

We have to send a thanks to John's friend Eric for getting us to go down there. We should also thank his wife for the U2 tickets! It was amazing!! My favorite part: When John and Eric got asked to go to "turns" by two girls. Being good Mormon boys, they had no idea what they were being asked to do. They just stared at the girls until one of them said, "You know, at the bar?" Still they stared. Finally one of the girls caught on that we were behind them and said, "oh, I guess you are here with girls huh?" I laughed. It was great to see the look on their faces. I should have asked if I could come.

Moab Trip

I still have so much to do, but I dont' want to do it any more, so I will try and update you with all the craziness that has been going on the past 3 weeks.

First, our Moab trip. I tried really hard this time to take more pictures of people and less of scenery and trucks. Still, I can't help but take a ton of pictures when we go down there, so here ya go.

Had to get this shot of the canyon on the way down. Pictures never do it justice, but I swear some of the leaves were pink! There was also a really low cloud, so it just really looked surreal.

We actually made it up Delicate Arch this time. It is a grueling hike, but the kids made it okay. (Well, with a little help)

Just resting
Sydney loved to climb up the big rocks with her uncle Mitch

That would be my cousin Jon. Studly huh?
Kyle was proud to be sporting his temporary tattoo
Should we use this one as Christmas cards or what?
The Moab wildlife. The body of this Cat Spider was probably as big as my fist. We found it up in the corners of some pavilion type thing. And of course you can't forget the lizards and scorpions. Too bad we didn't see any snakes.
Okay, I had to show Kent's collection of Moab lizards as well.
Connor was very upset when we had to put this little guy back. Luckily I was able to convince him that the lizard would be sad if we took him away from his home. He seemed to understand that.
Linsey and Mitch

It is hard to tell from the picture, but Jon and I climbed up a really tall rock to get a better view. Sorry we about gave you a heart-attack aunt Shauna, but it was really cool!
I am beginning to understand why my mom was always worried with us around heights. I kept yelling at John to hold on to Connor TIGHT while he threw rocks over the side.
Chase
Gotta love the red dirt!

The whole Gang
(minus Nik and Ashley, next time though right?)
